Our Story

Founder, Steven D Hill of S D Hill Construction has been building homes for over 35 years. Steve is a third generation builder from Livermore, CA. He began working summers for his father at the age of 15 and continued pursuing a lifelong passion for superb craftmanship and design.

 

Our Timeline

1985
S. D. Hill Construction Company is established in Livermore, CA. Steve began to expand his residential business into commercial as well as custom homes.

1995 
Steve and his wife Belinda, along with their children, moved to Asheville, NC.  S. D .Hill Construction designed and built a series of custom homes, which won several awards, including Best Builder and Design by the Asheville Home Owners Association. 

in 2008 we reached one of our milestone achievements  when one of our homes grossed $2.8 million, breaking one of the highest sales records in Asheville, NC at the time. 

 

2009-Present

Seeing a unique opportunity to fulfill his vision and a desire to live on Lake Keowee, Steve moved his family to Lake Keowee to begin building his homes on the water. 

 

Over the past 12 years we have built 17 beautiful  homes with a Rustic Elegance-and Nantucket style architecture... We are currently building  a  7600 SF Custom home in the Cliffs of Falls South on Lake Keowee and 5000 SF Farm House in Walhalla  SC.
